Fumes support
A little help getting your quota under control.
Release information
Fumes is currently in testing. Public downloads and purchasing are not available on this site yet. The Mac App Store release will be free to download, with a $9.99 one-time unlock for monitoring all six providers. Availability will be announced here.
Purchases and restores
The unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase, with no recurring charge. Use Restore Purchases in Fumes with the Apple Account used to buy it. Purchases, refunds and payment details are handled by Apple. A refunded or revoked purchase no longer unlocks monitoring.
Connecting accounts
Codex and Claude use their installed CLIs and existing sign-ins. For Grok, the App Store build asks you to choose .grok/auth.json so it can read your existing login and request your allowance from Grok. Qwen uses the official Model Studio CLI. Kimi and Z.ai connect with subscription keys saved in macOS Keychain. Fumes requires macOS 14 or later.
Usage not updating?
Check that your provider’s own CLI or account page can retrieve your usage, then refresh Fumes. If a sign-in has expired, reconnect through the provider’s normal sign-in flow. An unavailable pace estimate can mean that Fumes needs more usage observations or that the provider does not supply enough information.
Get in touch
Email matt@dafacto.com with your Fumes version, macOS version, the affected provider and what you expected to happen. A screenshot can help; hide email addresses and account details first. Never send passwords, API keys or sign-in files.
